| I must say, heaps of sorry for the quality of this photo! |
Remember the brownies i was addicted to? Today i was craving for it. No reason. It was cold n i was yearning for sth chewy, gooey n sinful.
It has been a long while since i made brownies. Since i'm thinking of them today, let me share this recipe which has once charmed my heart:
Dark very Chocolatey Brownies
(adapted from Better Homes)
250g good quality dark chocolate
200g unsalted butter
3 eggs
200g caster sugar
80g plain flour
60g cocoa powder
100g chocolate chips
M&Ms (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 160oC. Line a 27 x 18cm slice pan with greaseproof paper. Put dark chocolate and butter in a medium heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water. Stir until melted, then remove from heat. Beat in eggs and sugar.
2. Sift flour and cocoa together then fold into the chocolate mixture. Add chocolate chips and mix well, then spoon mixture into prepared pan. Scatter M&Ms on top.
3. Bake for 30 mins or until just firm. Cool completely before slicing and serving.
Note: Brownies need to be barely set for a perfect texture. They shd be just firm to touch, but wet when inserted with a testing skewer. Do not overbake.
P/s: I'm in the midst of reconstructing my blog as you can see. I am a pretty lazy person, so pls be patient as this wld probably take me ages to finish.
