The Signs of Winter

Here comes winter. It's not difficult to sense her presence, she has many accompanions who tag along with her. Strong chilly breeze, wind, precipitation, snow and ice, and in some extreme places, blizzards and ice fog.

Yes, winter is here officially. Trees are turning red as the temperature is lower, and the time will soon come when we see bald trees everywhere. I find it very unique to see red trees, or trees with red leaves, because everything is either green, or yellow in Malaysia, and in UK, trees turn brown before they wither. Never bright red.

I hate winter. Yes, i said it, i really dislike winter. Waking up to a gloomy and super cold day is not something i simply favour. Especially when the sun is missing to nowhere. Thank God the heating system is here already, which makes my days much more bearable! (God is super awesome!!).

I snapped some photos of the house garden just early this evening while waiting for dinner time and to practise my photography skill.

Obviously, my skill is still very much lacking. The leaves on these plum trees are supposed to be bright red, however they weren't obvious on both photos.

A sign of winter: gloomy

What happened to the Persimmon trees? BOTAK!

More botak Persimmon trees

According to Hubby, this tree withers the latest, yet springs the earliest. Also means, it would be the coldest when this tree is botak.

Last but not least, plants like banana trees, papayas etc. are kept in the living room during winter.
